What will you draw?
Fantasy critters such as dragons and griffons, animals, and anthropomorphic creatures. I'll consider drawing tasteful nudity on a case-by-case basis. Dragons are definitely my favorite subject matter! |
What will you not draw?
Humanoids (humans, elves, dwarves, etc., basically anything with a human face), offensive or hateful content, porn, obvious fetish material (ie. inflation, "hyper" proportions, etc.), excessive gore, or trademarked characters. I also will not add text (such as speech bubbles) to any art that isn't meant to be a reference piece. |
What are things you're unsure about, but will attempt to draw?
On a case-by-case basis, I will try drawing elaborate clothing, armor, robotic creatures, weapons, and effects such as fire or magic. Please keep in mind that, even if I am willing to try out these subjects on your art, the extra time spent on them will add cost to your commission!

What counts towards "complexity" on a character?
This refers to features on a character that increase the cost of the commission, primarily due to the amount of extra time they take to draw. Below are some examples of moderately complex to highly complex features. These don't cover everything, but hopefully they'll give you a pretty good idea on what to expect!

Why are tips enabled on the invoice before the commission is even started? I want to send a tip after my commission is completed. What do I do?
I always enable tips on invoices because so many of my clients prefer to add a tip immediately when sending their initial payment. You are never obligated to send a tip, so please don't feel pressured by seeing the option there! If you'd rather send a tip after you see how the commission turned out, you can do so through my Ko-fi page. Please do not ever send tips through PayPal's "friends and family" option, as it is against their ToS and can get artists in trouble.

What is your commissioning process like?
After you email the filled out commission form, if I'm interested in taking your commission, I'll reply with a quote, clarify any details I may need, and attach a .PDF version of my ToS for you to keep as-is (in case my ToS on this site is ever changed). Once you've approved the quote, I'll send you an invoice and add you to my Trello queue. I'll let you know once I've started on your commission and will keep you updated frequently on my progress. Once the commission is finished, I will send you two files: the full resolution version, and the upload version (smaller resolution, used for uploading to websites and for showing friends).

Why do simple references and reference sheets cost so much?
These commissions have higher price points for what you get because they involve doing refined line work. Refined line work not only takes me longer to complete, but also inflicts more hand/wrist pain than any other type of commission I offer. I also expect more time spent on correspondence due to these being references for your character. As a result, these commissions are more expensive and will also be closed more often than any other style I offer.

Do you draw backgrounds?
I take commissions with backgrounds on a case-by-case basis since I'm not very skilled with them currently. If nothing on my price sheet shows the option to add a background, then I will probably not be willing to add a background to that particular commission style. I do plan on offering more options that have backgrounds in the future, once I have a bit more confidence with working with them.

Do you stream?
Yes! My channel is over here on Picarto. I don't have a regular streaming schedule, I just stream whenever I have the time to do so.

When can I expect my commission to be finished?
Your commission should be finished between 1 to 3 weeks from the time I start working on it. Please keep in mind that this may vary depending on time between emails, your position in queue, and the complexity of your illustration.

What happens if you go overtime? Do I have to pay more than the quote?
Usually, no! If I go overtime due to my own fault, I won't charge you any extra. Most of the time I go overtime it's because I poorly judged how much time the commission would take for me to finish. However, if you request a significant change later in the commission that causes me to go overtime, I'll let you know and send you an additional invoice for the difference.
